Plan your next Meramec River Float Trip Today!
No matter what watercraft you choose — canoe, kayak, or raft — this float experience is five miles in distance and will take approximately 2-4 hours. The Meramec River is a Class I (sometimes II) river that is suitable for all levels of floating experience and expertise.
The Meramac is a lazy, slow moving river so Kayaks and Canoes may have a quicker go as you paddle downstream, while rafts tend to take a bit more time. When you arrive, all guests must sign waivers. At your departure time, all guests and watercraft will be loaded up at the Riverstop Store and transported via bus to the Sappington Bridge. Once there, you’ll be offloaded to begin your float back to the Meramec State Park, Riverstop Store.
Watercraft options:
- Canoe – price includes 2 people
- Single Kayak – Sit-On-Top kayaks are ideal for lazy rivers and great for all experience levels
- 6-Person Raft – Can hold up to 6 people
- 8-Person Raft – Can hold up to 8 people
What to Bring
- Clothes you don’t mind getting wet
- The Riverstop Store has snacks, beer, ice, t-shirts, water guns, sunglasses, sunscreen, soft drinks and much more to make your experience on the river fun and adventurous.

In the event the float is cancelled by the concessionaire due to bad weather or high-water levels, a rain check will be issued good for one year from the cancelled float date no refunds. All watercraft cancellations require seven days’ notice. If a seven-day notice is given, the cancellation fee will be $5.00 per canoe and $10.00 for each raft reserved. Any watercraft cancellations made less than seven days prior to the float will be charged the entire cost of the watercraft rental. No rain checks for any lodging or refunds, due to your float being canceled by concessionaires due to weather or high river levels. NO REFUNDS OR RAIN CHECKS ON MOTEL ROOMS OR CABINS IF FLOAT CANCELED DUE TO RIVER HIGH LEVELS OR BAD WEATHER, STANDARD COMPANIES POLICY FOR FLOATING.
